Tupac and The Natural Escalation of the Oppressed
Tupac refers to a natural progression of fighting for rights. Have we gone backwards? Where are we now? Where do we go from here?

The natural escalation is in full swing because law enforcement is getting tougher on activists at home, never mind their policies toward international activists that affect American business interests. We used to protest isolated incidents like court decisions, employee disputes, public criticism, and things like that. Some battles were won and some weren’t, but ultimately the wins haven’t added up to the change people have hoped for. Now people have moved beyond protesting decisions and have started protesting the logic. I think things are moving pretty smooth if you ask me cuz the closer people get to the change they’re looking for, the harder the fights gonna get. Feel me doe?

I agree that the protest is morphing into a protest of logic– which is the first step in the (mental and spiritual) revolution that cannot be televised. I also agree that the fight may get harder. But we’ll be ready. Perhaps that’s what we need… some sort of “thorn in our flesh” to wake us up.
